(for the moment) just a short one page Homepage:
Since 2001 Call the Rain has trained over 600 health care workers, peer educators, and lay people to understand the impact that HIV/AIDS has on family and community life. It uses storytelling as methodology Training programmes aim to empower people with the necessary life skills to change the way in which people relate to partners, friends, family, and so have the ability to impact a community.
We believe we all have the unique opportunity to encourage economies between the rich and poor. That we can choose to start conversations of change in the fight against HIV/AIDS in our families and workplaces. That everyone can be the rainmakers our continent, Africa so desperately needs.
Storyteller wisdom:
As storytellers we share wisdom, “We say we can only hope to Call the Rain ». This means we can hope for rain, we can pray for rain. We can even dance for it. But we can never make the rain to fall. So too when we tell a story, we can hope people will hear the message in the story and consider change, but we can never make the change for them. That is their decision
At present, our web site is still under construction. We are making an effort to present you with our entire spectrum of offers as soon as possible.
