About: … We deliver up-to-date information and develop initiatives that serve the immediate needs of those working to prevent substance abuse.
While young people are our primary target population, we also engage in efforts to promote healthy lifestyles for all Ohioans. We form partnerships with businesses, community members, substance abuse prevention professionals, policy makers, law enforcement, school personnel, and, most importantly, parents.
Providing Leadership:
Drug-Free Action Alliance’s mission to provide leadership and foster networks to promote safe and drug free communities throughout Ohio is accomplished through the following strategies:
- 1.Provide statewide and community environmental changes to reduce substance abuse
- 2.Increase public awareness of substance abuse and its harmful effects and the role of Drug-Free Action Alliance in substance abuse prevention.
- 3.Help to develop the statewide prevention infrastructure to reduce substance abuse through collaborations, community coalitions and state level groups.
