Who we are: Action on Disability and Development is an international development agency, supporting organisations of disabled people as they campaign for their rightful inclusion in society. ADD was established in 1985 in recognition of the fact that disabled people, especially disabled women and children, are among the poorest, most disadvantaged and socially excluded. This is particularly true in developing countries, where they are often excluded from development assistance. Since then we have directly supported over 170,000 disabled people and many more indirectly.

… At the request of the United Nations, the Geneva-based IDMC runs an online database providing comprehensive information and analysis on internal displacement in some 50 countries. About /General Information: … KSCC was established in May 1996 as a branch of the Palestinian Ministry of Culture but functioned with programmatic independence; nonetheless, in 1997, it was decided to transform the status of the centre to a non-governmental institution (NGO) to allow it to achieve its mission and goals fully. As a result, KSCC was registered in the Ministry of Interior in May 1998 and obtained a tax-exempt status granted to non-profit organizations from the Palestinian Ministry of Finance; and in August 1998 KSCC signed an agreement with the Ministry of Culture, whereby the Sakakini’s building remains the property of the Ministry, while it is used rent-free by KSCC.

The Beresheet LaShalom Foundation is dedicated to the creation and perseverance of dialogue of children across diverse groups. The object of this dialogue is to educate and imbibe a positive spirit in confronting the difficult problems they face. The youth from these seemingly opposed cultures can unite around the positive interactions of theatre and can put the horrors they have faced into a perspective that does not foster that same hatred. Radio Program by our Theatre: The All for Peace Radio Station, that broadcasts simultaneously from Jerusalem and Ramallah, having heard of our work for peace and dialogue, invited us to experiment and produce a short pilot of an hour’s broadcast from young people to young people.

For the young actors of the Rainbow – Arcobaleno Theatre it was a whole new challenge, because now they had to express themselves in words instead of the body language which characterizes their performances of dance – theatre.
