• Das Netzwerk führt den Namen „INTEGRA – Deutsches Netzwerk zur Überwindung weiblicher Genitalverstümmelung“.
• Das Netzwerk wurde auf Initiative der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ) GmbH im Jahr 2000 ins Leben gerufen und hat sich 2005 den Namen INTEGRA gegeben.
• Sitz und Sprecherschaft übernimmt rotierend jeweils eine Mitglieds-Organisation für die Dauer von zwei Jahren. Die erste Amtsperiode der Sprecherschaft beginnt am 1. Januar 2007.
