WAFA works to protect the remaining forests and woodlands of south-west Western Australia. Many people wrongly believe that the logging of native forests is not still happening in WA. The WA Forest Alliance was formed in 1990 to provide an umbrella body for the many community environment organisations in Perth and throughout the South West that are concerned with forest conservation. Currently WAFA has 25 member organisations, most of them from the South West. (Homepage).
