Association contre la Mutilation des Enfants A.M.E.

mainly in french, some pages in english – Lié dans nos blogs avec En formation contre l’excision … , KENYA: Instead Of Glory, Girls In Tarime Find Blood And Ashes, et avec FGM – Debates about FGM in Africa, the Middle East & Far East.

Notre association a pour but d’effectuer des recherches sur les différentes mutilations d’enfants, considérées à la fois de façon historique et médicale, et d’en rendre publics les résultats. A cela s’ajoute l’étude des textes juridiques et de la jurisprudence réprimant de telles pratiques, tant en France qu’à l’étranger. L’A.M.E. peut également se porter partie civile devant les tribunaux, et aussi influencer des personnalités afin qu’elles condamnent publiquement la mutilation des enfants, tant opérée pour une prétendue raison médicale (circoncision de routine), que religieuse (telle l’excision). GGP USAWA Ni Haki – answering to Kenyan Women

GGP means the Gender and Governance Programme. It was developed as a follow up to the Engendering Political Process Programme implemented in 2002 to support women to participate actively in 2002 general elections.

SEPHIS: South-South Exchange Programme for Research on the History of Development

Sephis, the South-South Exchange Programme for Research on the History of Development, was established in 1994. The programme encourages researchers located in the South to establish links with their colleagues in other parts of the South. This growing South-South network is concerned with research on the history of development. Prime objectives of the Sephis programme are supporting dialogues between researchers from the South with their various visions of development and history, encouraging comparative research, and strengthening Southern-based research capacity.
