  • We have no up front application or processing cost. We collect the program fee only after a participant arrives in the United States and begins to receive money by participating in the program.
  • We provide medical insurance from the day of arrival in the United States to the day of departure at no cost to the participant, except for a modest deductible required by the insurance company.
  • For programs of one year or longer we pay the cost of travel from the port of entry into the United States to the host sites as well as travel to the port of debarkation when the program is completed.
  • We have programs available to improve English-speaking skills and to acquire basic entrepreneurial techniques, in addition to learning agricultural skills. (Learn).

Farmer Exchange Program: Opportunities Await You with Our Trainee and Intern Exchange Programs: Under the Mutual Education and Cultural Exchange Act Worldwide Farmers Exchange has been certified by the U.S. Department of State to sponsor and operate a trainee program, also known as P-3-05119, and an intern program, also known as P-3-12380. 

These certifications allow us to issue documents to permit selected applicants to apply for special category « J-1 » non-immigrant visas in order to participate in WFE’s work-experience trainee and intern programs. We can also issue documents to permit an applicant’s spouse and other dependents to apply for « J-2 » visas in order to accompany the participant during the program.

Eligibility – An applicant must:

  • Have English-speaking skills sufficient to understand instructions, to perform training activities and to avoid injury.
  • Demonstrate an educational focus or significant practical field experience in the area of agricultural training or internship sought.
  • Not seek to repeat training previously received while participating in a J-1 training program. However may apply for advanced or different training in the same field.
  • Be prepared to pay for his or her own international travel to and from a port of entry in the United States selected by WFE.
  • Agree to and comply with the program terms and conditions set by WFE.
