Presentation: Each year 50,000 to 70,000 non-governmental delegates take part in the conferences organised by the international organisations present in Geneva: UN, WHO, HCR, ILO, etc.
- They are invited for their expertise, field knowledge and their role in the elaboration and implementation of international policies. They adapt international policies to the needs of civil populations, and also have considerable impact in the field.
- Our Welcome Centre for Non-governmental Organisations and Delegations welcomes and informs them and facilitates their participation in conferences. We greatly reduce the costs of their stay, especially for delegates from developing countries or those representing indigenous peoples. We put at their disposition a work infrastructure, support service, documentation centre and several information websites.
- Through our Welcome Centre and our network of members, we are in contact with hundreds of NGOs in developing countries. Thus, we can select particularly deserving projects, managed where they are implemented. In this way we avoid administrative costs and intermediaries.
We favour projects that:
- Have an effective and lasting impact
- Benefit from in kind contributions
- Have a multiplier effect.
