IRIS Merlin (homepage) covers:

  • all audiovisual media: broadcasting, film, new media;
  • all key areas: advertising, competition, consumer protection, content regulation, copyright, media concentration, tax incentives, telecommunications, … and more;
  • all key players: supranational organisations 58 countries;
  • all legal developments since 1995: legislation, court cases, administrative decisions, policy documents.

IRIS Merlin includes:

  • 4222 short descriptive articles based solely on fact;
  • with exact reference to 4816 source documents (laws, decrees, court cases, etc.);
  • and 1086 hyperlinks to the texts of the source documents.

About: OHRSD is located at Mahidol University, Bangkok. It was established in 1996 by Mahidol University with the aims of providing education and research opportunities in the area of human rights. The OHRSD runs a Graduate Program in Human Rights, leading to a Masters of Human Rights and Social Development, and a number of research and other activities. The Office also offers an International PhD course in Human Rights and Peace Studies, and a Masters of Human Rights in Thai language.

The organization’s mission is to build a culture of peace and non-violence in Timor Leste (East Timor) by developing the values, skills, knowledge and wellbeing of conflict-affected, vulnerable and at-risk young people, and those who care for them. To this end, Ba Futuru engages children and youth in artistic conflict resolution and human rights activities, offers training for people working with children, and provides capacity development for government officials.
