The BAYTI Association

BAYTI, is a non-profit association recognized as a public utility institution decree Nº 2.99.38 of 21-1-99. It targets children in difficult circumstances: Street children, working children, abandonned children, juvenile delinquent and sexually exploited children. (full text).

Since 2000, the SUEZ Foundation has supported the Bayti Association in Morocco.

The Bayti Association was created in 1995 by the pediatrician Dr. Najat M’Jid. « Bayti » means « my house » in Arabic. The association is mainly involved in helping street children and children who have been victims of sexual abuse.

Bayti seeks to give the hope of a better life to children whose only future was misery, clandestine emigration, prostitution, and other misfortunes.

With the help of a team of educators, social service specialists, medical doctors, and teachers, Bayti has established programs for these children specifically focused on social integration through schooling, individualized education workshops, and other avenues. (full text).

Welcome – The work of Jatun Sacha /CDC-Ecuador Alliance is to Promote the conservation of forest, aquatic, and mountain ecosystems of Ecuador. Jatun Sacha does this through technical training, scientific research, environmental education, natural resource management, and community development involving structural organization with local peoples.
