- WIPO provides a range of services for the owners and users of intellectual property (IP).
- These include international registration services, which enable applicants to seek protection for their patents, trademarks or designs in multiple countries by filing a single application. WIPO also maintains IP classification systems, which are used for registering IP and facilitate searches in IP databases and registries.
- WIPO’s Arbitration and Mediation Center offers alternative dispute resolution services for private parties involved in international IP disputes. This includes Internet domain name dispute resolution for tackling cybersquatting.
- The links in the left column provide details on these services.
