The Beresheet LaShalom Foundation is dedicated to the creation and perseverance of dialogue of children across diverse groups. The object of this dialogue is to educate and imbibe a positive spirit in confronting the difficult problems they face. The youth from these seemingly opposed cultures can unite around the positive interactions of theatre and can put the horrors they have faced into a perspective that does not foster that same hatred. Radio Program by our Theatre: The All for Peace Radio Station, that broadcasts simultaneously from Jerusalem and Ramallah, having heard of our work for peace and dialogue, invited us to experiment and produce a short pilot of an hour’s broadcast from young people to young people.

For the young actors of the Rainbow – Arcobaleno Theatre it was a whole new challenge, because now they had to express themselves in words instead of the body language which characterizes their performances of dance – theatre.

The 3rd North American Zoroastrian Conference was held in October of 1979, with the first day’s session at the Darbe Mehr and the second day at the Carnegie Center in New York city … Because of Professor Irani’s connections into the academic world, ZAGNY has over the years been able to organize excellent seminars on various aspects of Zoroastrianism and religious thought. On average, at least one such conference or seminar has taken place each year. ZAGNY also sponsored or co-sponsored the first two International Gatha conferences in Great Britain and Los Angeles and the Yasht conference last year. Main Goals:

  • 1- Mobilization of Palestinian Women in the struggle of their people for liberation from Israeli occupation, attainment of self-determination and the right of return as well as the establishment of the independent state on their national soil with Jerusalem as its capital.
  • 2- Raising women’s political awareness and participation in the decision making process, whether in the Unions, National Organizations or Political Parties. Reviewing policies, laws, legislation and decisions to ensure that they are non-discriminatory against men and that they adopt principles of equality and providing equal opportunities between men and women.
  • 4- Integration of women in the labor force and other economic activities.
  • 5- Raising the cultural and health standards of Palestinian women through organizing programs for fundamental education of illiteracy.
