Two years later in Auckland, New Zealand, the Prime Minister of New Zealand welcomed the delegates to the 2001 conference, the first one held in the southern hemisphere. The 2003 conference in Montréal, Quebec, was the first time the conference was held in a city where English is not the primary language. Pride organizers from around the world arrived at the 2004 conference in Reykjavik, Iceland, the first time in a country where the national language is not English. The 2007 Conference will be held in Zurich, Switzerland.
