About /who we are: The International Relations and Security Network (ISN) is the world’s leading open access information service for international relations and security professionals.
Established in 1994, our mission is to promote greater knowledge sharing, learning and collaboration. We do this by building a portfolio of free, high-quality information services; providing e-learning consulting, content and technology services and products; hosting a comprehensive security training program for the intelligence community; and offering technical, editorial and administrative support to a host of online communities.
We strive to meet the rapidly evolving information and educational needs of our users by working with the world’s leading think tanks, universities, research institutes, NGOs and international organizations. Our partner network continues to grow in tandem with the changing international agenda. This allows us to offer our users a broad selection of views and opinions on the major issues of our day.
The ISN is an online project of the Center for Security Studies (CSS), at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich). It is jointly funded by the Swiss Department for Defence, Civil Protection and Sport (DDPS) and ETH Zurich.
