The Centre for Social Research is one of the leading Women’s institution working in the field of Social action since 1983 aiming to empower women by implementing projects at the grass root, gender imparting training to law enforcing agencies, corporate houses, academia, urban and local governing bodies, domestic and international non governmental organizations. The key focus areas of CSR include development and capacity building, combat against violence against women, action research, gender training, and networking & advocacy.
CSR aims to empower women and provide them with the resources to be self-reliant individuals. We work at the grassroots, regional and international levels to raise women’s awareness of their rights, build inroads into decision-making institutions from Panchayats to Parliament and to eliminate violence against women.
CSR has played important and significant roles at the National, regional as well as international level through its network. CSR aims to empower women and provide them with the resources to be self-reliant individuals.
