About 2/2: In three years, Wellstone Action has experienced tremendous growth, adding over 108,000 members and training 14,322 (and counting!) citizen activists and professionals in 36 states in political organizing skills. In addition to training, Wellstone Action engages our members in non-partisan voter mobilization efforts; lobbies Congress on behalf of mental health parity, Social Security and the reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act; trains domestic violence advocates to be organizers on their issue, and helps preserve the Wellstone archives for future generations. Our book, Politics the Wellstone Way: How to Elect Progressive Candidates and Win on Issues, was released in the fall of 2005.
