The organization’s mission is to build a culture of peace and non-violence in Timor Leste (East Timor) by developing the values, skills, knowledge and wellbeing of conflict-affected, vulnerable and at-risk young people, and those who care for them. To this end, Ba Futuru engages children and youth in artistic conflict resolution and human rights activities, offers training for people working with children, and provides capacity development for government officials.
