FGM und die Folgen der Genitalen Verstümmlung bei Mädchen und Frauen Die Tradition der Beschneidung – international wird von weiblicher Genitalverstümmelung FGM female genital mutilation – gesprochen -, wird mehr als 5000 Jahre praktiziert, den Ursprung findet  ist Ägypten, die Gründe für dieses Ritual sind unbekannt und die Tradition ist leider mehr verbreitet als man glauben will. Europa, Deutschland, Hessen und auch der Kreis Bergstrasse bilden hier keine Ausnahme. So werden in vielen Ländern – nicht nur in 28 afrikanischen, sondern u. a. auch im Nordirak, in Kurdistan, im Oman, Jemen, Indonesien, Mädchen zwischen Babyalter und Pubertät, bzw. spätestens vor der Heirat, an den Genitalien beschnitten und verstümmelt. Hierbei spielt es keine Rolle aus welchem sozialen oder religiösen Umfeld die Menschen kommen, die diese schädliche traditionelle Praktik an ihren Mädchen vollziehen, ob die Familien gebildet sind oder keine Bildung haben … (ganzer Text Startseite / Forward intern).
