- Ambedkar Center for Justice and Peace is a global volunteer charity organization with its Global Headquarters at Tunkhannock, PA, USA. Our aim is to follow the path shown by our savior, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. According to Government of India’s statistics 2002 (annual report of Commission for Scheduled Caste and Tribes (Untouchables and Tribals)), caste prejudice is responsible for at least 60,000 plus crimes against Dalits each year. Every two hours, a Dalit woman is raped, Dalits are beaten, murdered and their homes are burnt.
- We are working to liberate our Dalit brothers through social work and human rights education so that they can lead their lives with dignity and develop into citizens who can make major contributions to the development of India. This means, we will deal with all the challenges that we face including education, economic development, eradication of child labor, bonded labor and child prostitution (Devadasi). (About).

This means, we will deal with all the challenges that we face, including education, economic development, eradication of child labor, bonded labor child prostitution (Devadasi).
What we have done so far? We have been helping our Dalit brothers on how to protect their human rights through different Indian Laws. Our Global Organization Ambedkar Center for Justice and Peace based in North America has been participating in United Nation and its various Organs and Seminars since 1991, bringing up the issue of caste system untouchability prevalent in India . We have also pioneered a study on Caste System, untouchability and descent based Discrimination in United Nation in 1999 and work related to the study is under progress.
Our Global ACJP team has been also participating in various United Nation Conferences and Committees like Working Group of Indigenous Population (WGIP). Committee on Elimination of Racial Discrimination (CERD 1996), Committee on Human Rights ( CHR 1997), Committee on Child Rights ( CRC 2000), World Conference on Human Rights 1993 at Vienna, World Summit on Social Development 1995 at Copenhagen, World Conference on Racism. We have been globalizing the issues for Dalits, underprivileged and marginalized people of India for last 15 years and we have seen a steady success in our efforts.
We hosted a four-day World Human Rights Education Conference in June 2004 at Mumbai. Apart from several noted activists, this conference was also graced by the participation of distinguished Supreme Court Judge Dr. Justice Ramaswamy (Rtd.) and Justice P. B. Sawant (Rtd.), Member of Planning Commission Dr. B. L. Mungekar, High Court Judge Justice Suresh Hospet (Rtd.) and Justice Kolse Patil (Rtd.), Supreme Court Advocate Dr. Chavan, Additional Director CBI Dr. U. N. Biswas (Rtd.) and our global president Yogesh Varhade. During this conference we launched a human rights education program for our people. We also hosted a one-week Training at Nagpur in July 2004 titled « Empower Indigenous Women and Girl Child » with the objective of training social workers around the country.
