… True Worth Foundation (TWF) is a non-profit, non-government and non-political organization, registered under the Voluntary Social Welfare Agencies (Registration and Control) Ordinance 1961 (XLVI 1961). TWF was established in the year of 2002 with the objective of providing basic needs to the under privileged communities. TWF highly discourages discriminatory practices, either endorsed through bureaucratic structures or through diverse societal values. TWF endeavors to offer services by targeting a specific community which may be a victim of social discrimination. As regards Primary Health Care, we are providing essential drugs, mother and child health, family planning awareness, basic education on formal basis and skill development through vocational centers for improving the quality of life of the socially deprived women … (about /Introduction).

The Citizens Archive of Pakistan CAP

  • The Citizens Archive of Pakistan is proud to present ‘The Birth of Pakistan’ at the Mohatta Palace Museum. This exhibition is one of many community-outreach projects that lie at the heart of The Citizens Archive of Pakistan (CAP). For the first time in Pakistan, an interactive exhibit designed specifically for children will take young visitors on a journey from the Lahore Resolution of 1940 through the sacrifices made to achieve a Muslim homeland in 1947 to the early days of the new nation of Pakistan, as it struggled to stand on its feet.
  • The exhibit features a unique ‘train journey’ from India to Pakistan, recreations of make-shift government offices and refugee tents, a chance for children to explore the contents of a ‘sundook’ or trunk brought to Pakistan by a migrant, photographs and film clips of major moments in Pakistan’s early history … (full text Current Projects).

The idea of developing a Net-based NGO was pioneered by Mr. Zaigham Mahmood Rizvi. Mr. Zaigham has a long standing as a social worker primarily serving the disabled community in Pakistan, maintaining his main interest in hearing-impaired people. Mr. Zaigham is a professional banker and is currently serving as Managing Director of House Building Finance Corporation, a financial institution operating in Pakistan (e-mail). Mr. Zaigham has served banking industry at senior positions both at home and abroad. Mr.Zaigham has a diversified academic qualifications having Master Degrees in the fields of Engineering, Economics and Business Administration.
