International Organisation for Cooperation in Evaluation IOCE

IOCE is a loose alliance of regional and national evaluation organisations (associations, societies and networks) from around the world that collaborate to:

  • build evaluation leadership and capacity in developing countries,
  • foster the cross-fertilisation of evaluation theory and practice around the world,
  • address international challenges in evaluation, and
  • assist the evaluation profession to take a more global approach to contributing to the identification and solution of world problems … (Overview 1/2).

Knowledge Management for Development km4dev.org

  • KM4Dev is a community of international development practitioners who are interested in knowledge management and knowledge sharing issues and approaches, and who seek to share ideas and experiences in this domain.
  • The community traces its origins back to two face-to-face workshops held respectively in February and June 2000. Participants from the two workshops wanted to continue discussing among themselves and asked Bellanet/IDRC to create an electronic forum where this could take place. The KM4Dev mailing list and website came to be in the summer of 2000. To subscribe to KM4Dev, send a blank email to km4dev.org. mailto:join.km4dev-l@dgroups.org … (about 1/2).

Peace Research Institute Frankfurt PRIF

  • The Peace Research Institute Frankfurt PRIF was founded in 1970 by the government of the state of Hesse as an independent foundation. Its constitution guarantees PRIF full academic freedom. PRIF does not carry out any commissioned research. With more than 70 members of staff PRIF is the largest as well as the oldest peace research institute in Germany.
  • PRIF´s work is directed towards identifying the causes of violent international and internal conflicts, carrying out research into the conditions necessary for peace, understood as a process of decreasing violence and increasing justice, and spreading the concepts of peace … (full text PRIF).
