Development in Literacy DIL

Developments in Literacy (DIL) is a US-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit launched in 1997 by Pakistani-Americans with a desire to improve the dismal state of education in Pakistan’s underdeveloped areas. DIL currently operates and manages 150 schools with an enrollment of nearly 15,000 students … (about 1/2 who we are).

New Left Project NLP

The New Left Project takes as its starting points:

  • 1.A belief in the value and equality of human life;
  • 2.An endorsement of the fundamental rights that flow from this (as set out for example in the UN Universal Declaration on Human Rights); and…
  • 3.The view that those rights are best honoured by cohesive, co-operative societies based primarily on collective and democratic social organisation and run on the principle of economic and ecological sustainability … (about 1/2).

Action Contre La Faim ACF International

L’organisation humanitaire Action contre la Faim, a été créée en 1979. Elle fait partie de la seconde génération des ONG (Organisations non gouvernementales), celle des « French Doctors », ces médecins français qui en 1968, au moment de la guerre du Biafra, se sont révoltés contre le silence des humanitaires, liés par le secret et pourtant témoins des pires horreurs.
