  • THE ASSEMBLY OF PARTIES is composed of all representatives of IDLO’s member states, which are signatories to the Establishment Agreement of IDLO. The Assembly is IDLO’s highest decision-making body and it convenes in Rome at least once a year. The role of the Assembly is to determine the Organization’s policies and oversee the work of the Director-General. Its duties include the adoption of the budget, the action plan and the by-laws for the governance of the Organization and the appointment of the Director-General and members of the Board of Advisers.
  • The Kingdom of The Netherlands is currently the President of the Assembly of Parties and Burkina Faso was elected as one of two Vice-Presidents. The other Vice-Presidency is held by Italy as the host country of the IDLO Headquarters.

Channel 4 Learning International

  • Channel 4 Learning began in 1993 when the ‘Channel 4 Schools’ television service first began broadcasting. In the subsequent 14 years much has changed in the formal education market, but what has remained a constant is Channel 4 Learning’s commitment to providing innovative, curriculum–focused products and services to motivate and inspire teachers and learners.

Nuffield Foundation

Parents of teenagers are doing a good job, and poor parenting is not the reason for the increase in problem behaviour amongst teenagers, a new briefing paper published by the Nuffield Foundation reveals.
Research undertaken by a team led by Professor Frances Gardner from the Department of Social Policy and Social Work at the University of Oxford found no evidence of a general decline in parenting.
The findings show that differences in parenting according to family structure and income have narrowed over the last 25 years. However, the task of parenting is changing and could be getting increasingly stressful, particularly for some groups … (full text Homepage).
