Calcutta Foundation, established in 1993/4 by Mrs Fran Caterini (…), is a Charitable Trust, exempt from tax, under 80-G of Income Tax Act.  Mrs Caterini and Mrs Shamlu Dudeja were the working Members of the Board of Trustees; but Mrs Caterini went back to the US, in 1995, leaving Mrs. Dudeja to manage the affairs of the Trust. Centro Italiano Aiuti all’Infanzia CIAI

Founded in 1968 CIAI – Italian Association for Aid to Children – has been fighting for the children of the whole world to be entitled the same rights: the first one, and the most important, is the right to grow within the love of a family, and where it is possible, to have permanence with a family of native origin.
CIAI put all its efforts into promoting a revolutionary idea for that period: to show how it was possible to give to a needy child, a family belonging to another culture and ethnic groups. Working for Animals since 1964

It all started one rainy day in 1959 when Captain Sundaram couldn’t just walk away from the two pups struggling to stay afloat in the flooded roads of T Nagar. He took them home-and that gesture marked the beginning of Blue Cross, the animal shelter in his house which at one stage had 60 cats, dogs, goats, bandicoots and also a pair of baby mongooses … (Founder).

To understand and relate with the far-reaching impact cancer has on an individual’s life. To go beyond the malignancy and treatment of cancer on the medical front and help the individual cope with the economic, social and psychological shadows the disease may cast. To effect and move policy that will ensure a fair chance of treatment for every Indian citizen.
