Survival is the only international organization supporting tribal peoples worldwide. We were founded in 1969 after an article by Norman Lewis in the UK’s Sunday Times highlighted the massacres, land thefts and genocide taking place in Brazilian Amazonia. Like many modern atrocities, the racist oppression of Brazil’s Indians took place in the name of ‘economic growth’ … (about 1/2).

We also offer tribal people themselves a platform to address the world. Safe Alternative Medicine

  • SafeAlternativeMedicine was formed to offer a unique reference point on alternative medicines and therapies.
  • Time was when alternative medicine was largely regarded as a load of hogwash, and that herbal remedies were considered nothing more than back-woods folk treatments that had little or no effect.
  • These days, however, many types of alternative medicine are considered to be well-established treatments, and some are even prescribed on the NHS … (about 1/2).

Breastfeeding Promotion Network of India BPNI

BPNI was founded on 3rd Dec., 1991 at Wardha, Maharashtra. BPNI is a registered, independent, non-profit, national organization that works towards protecting, promoting and supporting breastfeeding and appropriate complementary feeding of infants & young children. BPNI believes that breastfeeding is the right of all mothers and children. BPNI works through advocacy, social mobilization, information sharing, education, research, training and monitoring the company compliance with the IMS Act. BPNI does not accept funds or sponsorship of any kind from the companies producing infant milk substitutes, feeding bottles, related equipments, or infant foods (cereal foods) … (about 1/2).
