GLOW, the virtual portal of the feminist Institute.

Linked with Franziska Brantner – Germany, with France – l’Europe et la campagne présidentielle, and with Europäische Vernetzungskonferenz.

Conceived of as a bridge, the Feminist Institute acts as a mediator between feminist theory and feminism in practice. The FI evaluates women’s experiences and knowledge, debates these publicly, and finally, transfers these into the relevant institutions and organizations through practical policies.

The FI develops its own concepts within the thematic range of the Heinrich Boell Foundation. Following the motto, “autonomy and integration,” the FI works on developing feminist theory while also challenging the Foundation to work towards a gender-oriented profile.

The FI was founded in 1998, picking up the thread of the former Frauenanstiftung, which successfully supported women’s projects and liberation movements in societies all over the world. (full text about).

The Åland Islands Peace Institute belongs to a network of researchers and institutes that are focused on new challenges in peace research. The Peace Institute conducts research on minority rights and autonomy. It relates to the notion that “democratic participation” of minority groups and persons belonging to minorities can prevent conflicts in multicultural societies and safeguard their cultural identity. 2) Emmaus Åland (in finish),
/ Peace Association-Emmaus (in english),
and some Emmaus groups in Finland.

« Peace Association-Emmaus » is located in Mariehamn, in the Åland Islands of Swedish-speaking Finland. This group carries out both the « traditional » Emmaus work (reprocessing, sorting, and sales of used objects) and peace work. Based on the principal that cooperation between peoples is possible and on the need for universal peace, Emmaus Åland carries out actions to help prevent and resolve conflicts (demonstrations against the situation in Iraq, campaign against landmines, etc.). The group is preparing the upcoming opening of a « Peace School » that will train activity leaders, in partnership with other local organizations working for peace.

Infopoverty.net: OUR MISSION – Infopoverty is a common platform aiming at fighting poverty through the innovative use of the Information and Communication Technologies ICT, able to provide broadband services such as telemedicine, e-learning, e-government, etc. to disadvantaged communities. Infopoverty is a Programme born in the ambit of the United Nations and coordinated by OCCAM, the Observatory for Cultural and Audiovisual Communication created by UNESCO in 1997. The Infopoverty Programme involves more than 100 international institutions that have taken part, in various forms.

Gegenwärtig wird das naturalistische Weltbild innerhalb der meisten Kulturen unzureichend zum Ausdruck gebracht und teilweise sogar politisch oder gesellschaftlich unterdrückt.

Zwischen den Menschen mit einem naturalistischen Weltbild bestehen große Unterschiede. Einige sind Mitglied in Organisationen, die eine Anschauung fördern, die frei von übernatürlichen Komponenten ist. Die allermeisten sind jedoch nicht in einer Gruppe organisiert und identifizieren sich nicht mit einem bestimmten Begriff.
