Notre association a pour but d’effectuer des recherches sur les diff\u00e9rentes mutilations d’enfants, consid\u00e9r\u00e9es \u00e0 la fois de fa\u00e7on historique et m\u00e9dicale, et d’en rendre publics les r\u00e9sultats. A cela s’ajoute l’\u00e9tude des textes juridiques et de la jurisprudence r\u00e9primant de telles pratiques, tant en France qu’\u00e0 l’\u00e9tranger. L’A.M.E. peut \u00e9galement se porter partie civile devant les tribunaux, et aussi influencer des personnalit\u00e9s afin qu’elles condamnent publiquement la mutilation des enfants, tant op\u00e9r\u00e9e pour une pr\u00e9tendue raison m\u00e9dicale (circoncision de routine), que religieuse (telle l’excision).
