Now the Philosophy for Children Association of New Zealand (P4CNZ) has been formed and the number of schools involved with philosophy for children is expanding &#8230; (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.p4c.org.nz\/join.html\">Join us 1\/2<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.p4c.org.nz\/index.html\">Homepage<\/a>;<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.p4c.org.nz\/lessons.html\">Lesson Plans<\/a>; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.p4c.org.nz\/calendar.html\">Training &amp; Events<\/a>; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.p4c.org.nz\/resources.html\">Resources<\/a>; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.p4c.org.nz\/newsletter.html\">Newsletter<\/a>;<br \/>\nAddress: P4CNZ, c\/o Vanya Kovach, Philosophy Department, University of Auckland, Private Bag 92019, Auckland, New Zealand;<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.p4c.org.nz\/join.html\">Membership Form online<\/a>; <a href=\"mailto:v.kovach@auckland.ac.nz\">Contact<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.p4c.org.nz\/join.html\">Join us 2\/2<\/a>: &#8230; It is now possible for schools and teachers to get training in philosophy for children teaching in New Zealand. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>P4CNZ can provide teacher education recognised by the Federation of Australasian Philosophy for Children Associations and conducted by trainers with certification from that organisation.\u00a0 However, as of 2006, only one fully qualified P4C teacher educator is active in New Zealand.<\/p>\n<p>To keep up to date with training and special events, subscribe to our googlegroup on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.p4c.org.nz\/newsletter.html\">Newsletter<\/a> page.<\/p>\n<p>Activities of P4CNZ:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li> Professional development programmes for teachers<\/li>\n<li> Organisation of conferences and workshops<\/li>\n<li> Monthly community of inquiry for interested adults (when numbers permit)<\/li>\n<li> Research and development of materials for philosophy for children<\/li>\n<li> Liaison with other organisations in Australia and overseas<\/li>\n<li> Quarterly newsletter for members of the association<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>P4CNZ also maintains a lending library of P4C materials, available to members only.\u00a0 The library list can be found on the \u00ab\u00a0Resources\u00a0\u00bb page.<\/p>\n<p>You can become a member of P4CNZ by filling in the form on the right. The membership fee is $30 per year (waged) and $20 per year (unwaged).
