Homepage<\/a>: The Interdisciplinary Research Cell in Human Rights (CRIDHO) has been created within the Centre for Legal Philosophy (CPDR), an extra-department Institute of the University of Louvain, by scholars seeking to understand the development of fundamental rights by relying on other disciplines, especially economics and political philosophy. The CRIDHO works on the relationship between market mechanisms and fundamental rights, both at the level of interindividual relationships as at the level of the relationships between States in the European or international context. The hypothesis of the CRIDHO is that the conflict between the \u00a0\u00bb freedom \u00a0\u00bb of economic agents on the market, with the vulnerability this results in for the less well endowed agents, and the guarantee of fundamental rights, which could exclude the commodification of these rights, requires a reflection on the context in which the individual freedoms to contract and to exchange are exercised, and on the need to transform this context to enhance the autonomy of the individual. This hypothesis is tested on the different material questions which are investigated within the CRIDHO : internal market and competitive deregulation, respect for privacy in the sphere of employment, the need for an open method of coordination of fundamental rights policies in the European Union, freedom of contract and anti-discrimination law in the field of employment …<\/p>\n

Accueil<\/a>: La Cellule de recherche interdisciplinaire en droits de l’homme (CRIDHO) a \u00e9t\u00e9 constitu\u00e9e au sein du Centre de philosophie du droit, Institut extra-facultaire de l’Universit\u00e9 catholique de Louvain, par des chercheurs soucieux de r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir le d\u00e9veloppement contemporain des droits fondamentaux \u00e0 l’aide d’outils d’autres disciplines, notamment l’\u00e9conomie et la philosophie politique. La CRIDHO travaille sur les rapports entre les m\u00e9canismes de march\u00e9 et les droits fondamentaux, aussi bien au niveau des rapports interindividuels qu’au niveau des rapports nou\u00e9s entre Etats dans le cadre europ\u00e9en ou international. L’hypoth\u00e8se de la CRIDHO est que le conflit entre la \u00a0\u00bb libert\u00e9 \u00a0\u00bb des agents \u00e9conomiques sur le march\u00e9, avec la vuln\u00e9rabilit\u00e9 qui en r\u00e9sulte pour les agents les moins bien dot\u00e9s, et la garantie des droits fondamentaux, qui peut exiger que ceux-ci soient plac\u00e9s \u00e0 l’abri de toute forme de commodification, passe par une r\u00e9flexion sur le contexte d’exercice de la libert\u00e9 individuelle – notamment la libert\u00e9 contractuelle et d’\u00e9change – et sur l’am\u00e9nagement de ce contexte de mani\u00e8re \u00e0 favoriser l’autonomie de l’individu.
