Linked with Franziska Brantner – Germany<\/a>, with France – l’Europe et la campagne pr\u00e9sidentielle<\/a>, and with Europ\u00e4ische Vernetzungskonferenz<\/a>.<\/p>\n Conceived of as a bridge, the Feminist Institute acts as a mediator between feminist theory and feminism in practice. The FI evaluates women\u2019s experiences and knowledge, debates these publicly, and finally, transfers these into the relevant institutions and organizations through practical policies.<\/p>\n The FI develops its own concepts within the thematic range of the Heinrich Boell Foundation. Following the motto, \u201cautonomy and integration,\u201d the FI works on developing feminist theory while also challenging the Foundation to work towards a gender-oriented profile.<\/p>\n The FI was founded in 1998, picking up the thread of the former Frauenanstiftung, which successfully supported women\u2019s projects and liberation movements in societies all over the world.
