Homepage 2\/2<\/a>: … Launched in April, 3ie\u2019s innovative Policy Window invited governmental and non-governmental agencies from around the world to submit proposals of interventions that needed to be evaluated.\u00a0 <\/p>\n

The aim was to fund \u2018demand\u2019 driven impact evaluations. The call was open to socio-economic development interventions in low and middle income countries. At the end of this first phase, we received a total of 35 applications from 27 countries, which were reviewed by a panel of high-level policy makers from developing countries. The 3ie Board then shortlisted 9 programs\/interventions for financing.<\/p>\n

We are now launching the second phase – inviting proposals from researchers and evaluators from around the world to conduct impact evaluations of these programs. This unique window will also have a slightly different screening process, where separate bidding will be conducted for each of the 9 programs\/interventions. The research proposals will then be screened by a panel of technical experts, together with a representative of the implementing agency.<\/p>\n
