We use evidence and experience from our in-country programmes to make recommendations to international policy makers which leads to real changes on the ground. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Briefing: Addressing violence against women in security and justice programmes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Women and children are disproportionately affected in situations of conflict and post-conflict where they face high risks of sexual violence and other forms of abuse.<\/li>\n<li>Saferworld has produced a paper to inform a policy discussion held by the UK Department for International Development (DFID) in March 2010 on addressing the issue of violence against women through security and justice (S&amp;J) programming. The paper set out the background, looking at the various ways in which (S&amp;J) programmes by different donors have addressed violence against women before going on to make some recommendations &#8230; (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.saferworld.org.uk\/smartweb\/resources\/view-resource\/435\">more<\/a>).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Evaluating for security and justice:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>There is widespread recognition within the security and justice community that we need to improve how we monitor and evaluate security system reform (SSR) programmes. Saferworld has published a new report identifying many of the challenges that surround monitoring and evaluation (M&amp;E) and discussing how they can be managed or overcome &#8230; (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.saferworld.org.uk\/downloads\/pubdocs\/Evaluating%20for%20security%20and%20justice.pdf\">more on 60 pdf-pages<\/a>).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Saferworld submission to Bond strategy consultation:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Saferworld is a member of Bond, the UK membership body for non-governmental organisations (NGOs) working in international development.
