Guide notes for teachers are provided for each topic, printed on coloured card. Worksheets and resource material for students are provided on white card suitable for photocopying.<\/p>\n<p>Teachers will be able either to pursue a subject in depth through several topics, or simply to take one or two topics from modules.<\/p>\n<p>THE OTHER 3Rs meets the requirements of the UK National Curriculum in a number of subject areas:<\/p>\n<p>HEALTH EDUCATION<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00ab\u00a0The emphasis in most health education curricula is on encouraging individual responsibility, awareness and informed decision-making&#8230; Opportunities should be provided for pupils to assess evidence, make decisions, negotiate, listen, make and deal with relationships, solve problems and work independently and with confidence&#8230; Teaching methods&#8230; include games, simulations, case studies, role plays, problem solving excercises, questionnaires, surveys, open-ended questions and sentences and group work of various kinds.\u00a0\u00bb<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>RELIGIOUS EDUCATION<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00ab\u00a0(Key Stage 3) is an appropriate stage for pupils to develop their critical appraisal of some experience of religion and life-experiences they have been studying. This will apply not only to rules and codes of behaviour, but also to basic beliefs and attitudes&#8230; They will now be able to think more deeply about the experience of being human\u00a0\u00bb.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>CITIZENSHIP<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00ab\u00a0Areas of study might include: sources of authority and influence; the role of the individual within different types of community; the role of the family, education, religion, culture and social structures in maintaining social stability\u00a0\u00bb.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>responsibility, relationships, respect &#8211; this unique teaching resource meets the requirements of the UK National Curriculum in a number of subject areas, and can be adapted for use in any country.
