Universitas Friburgensis, a project of the Medieval Institute<\/strong> (in de<\/a>, in en<\/a>, in fr<\/a>, and in it<\/a>).<\/p>\n

The purpose of \u201ce-codices\u201d is to provide access to the medieval codices in Switzerland by creating a virtual library. At the moment, the virtual library contains 333 manuscripts from 16 different libraries. The virtual library will be continuously updated and extended. Last update: 12\/09\/2008. The Codices electronici Confoederationis Helveticae CeCH Curatorium<\/a>: E-codices is overseen by the \u00ab\u00a0Codices electronici Confoederationis Helveticae\u00a0\u00bb (CeCH) Curatorium of the Swiss Academy of Humanities and Social Sciences (SAGW). The Curatorium works to further the digitization of the digitization of medieval manuscript holdings and the application of digitization technologies and techniques for manuscript-based scholarly research in medieval studies.<\/p>\n


\nMembers of the Curatorium bring together professional qualifications in the areas of Image and Media Technology, Computing for the Humanities, Book Conservation, Digital Edition Production, and Art History. This curatorium is responsible for coordination with other digitization projects and for the introduction of e-codices to the World-wide Web. CeCH is closely connected with the Curatorium for \u00ab\u00a0Katalogisierung der mittelalterlichen and fr\u00fchneuzeitlichen Handschriften\u00a0\u00bb (Cataloging Medieval and Early Modern Manuscripts<\/a>). At least one member of CeCH is also a member of this other curatorium.<\/p>\n
