The Association was formally registered in 1988 and throughout its existence it has maintained an affiliation with the Stockholm Teacher&rsquo;s College &#8230; (<a href=\"http:\/\/fcit.usf.edu\/Holocaust\/KORCZAK\/about.htm\">about 1\/2<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.child-abuse.com\/childhouse\/childwatch\/cwi\/convention.html\">Convention on the Rights of the Child<\/a>, Adopted by the General Assembly of the United Nations on 20 November 1989;<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/fcit.usf.edu\/Holocaust\/KORCZAK\/dedicati.htm\">dedication<\/a>;<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/fcit.usf.edu\/Holocaust\/KORCZAK\/books\/default.htm\">books<\/a> (diff. languages);<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/fcit.usf.edu\/Holocaust\/KORCZAK\/photos\/default.htm\">photos<\/a>;<br \/>\nthe <a href=\"http:\/\/fcit.usf.edu\/Holocaust\/KORCZAK\/kkronika\/default.htm\">Chronicle<\/a>;<br \/>\nthe <a href=\"http:\/\/remember.org\/\">cybrary of the holocaust<\/a>;<br \/>\na <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ise.fhg.de\/personal_home_pages\/stefan\/korczak.html\">german site<\/a>;<br \/>\na <a href=\"http:\/\/fcit.usf.edu\/Holocaust\/default.htm\">teacher&rsquo;s guide to the holocaust<\/a>;<br \/>\n<a href=\"mailto:romwro@hotmail.com\">Feedback e-mail<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/fcit.usf.edu\/Holocaust\/KORCZAK\/about.htm\">About 2\/2<\/a>: The purpose of the Association is to disseminate information on Janusz Korczak and his lifework.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>With the support of approximately 100 members as well as various donations and grants, the Association has worked towards its primary aim of publishing Swedish translations of Korczak&rsquo;s most important written productions. A report titled \u00ab\u00a0Janusz Korczak &#8211; a Humanistic Educator\u00a0\u00bb was published in 1982 on the occasion of a symposium on Janusz Korczak. This report contains various articles illustrating Korczak&rsquo;s personality, his humanitarian philosophy and his educational methods.<\/p>\n<p>Two major Korczak books on education have been published in Swedish translation: \u00ab\u00a0The Child&rsquo;s Right to Respect\u00a0\u00bb and \u00ab\u00a0How to love a child\u00a0\u00bb. Several articles on Korczak have also been published in Swedish newspapers and magazines. Radio programs on Korczak have been produced on both Swedish and Finnish radio.<\/p>\n<p>An advanced course for teachers on \u00ab\u00a0The Child in School\u00a0\u00bb has been given in collaboration with the Stockholm Teacher&rsquo;s College and the University of Stockholm. Janusz Korczak and his educational philosophy have been given special attention during this course.<\/p>\n<p>The Stockholm Teacher&rsquo;s College has set aside a \u00ab\u00a0Korczak room\u00a0\u00bb at the college for the Association&rsquo;s meetings and for a library of visual aids and books about and by Korczak in various languages.
